The Tom thumb elevator bit offers more precision and control due to the lifting effect in front which can assist the rider in helping to sit the horse back on its hocks, combined with poll pressure from the leverage action. Can be used with one rein on either the snaffle ring or the lower ring or with two reins.
The mouthpiece has sweet iron combinedwirh a double jointed roller link centre.
In good condition. Sweet iron has oxidised but this is normal.
