Delivery Policy

All orders are usually dispatched within 48 hours of being placed and delivery is made by Royal Mail or Parcel Courier. During exceptionally busy times the dispatch time could be extended but we will always endeavour to get your bits to you as quickly as possible.

Your delivery charge will be added at the checkout and is based on the following:

Standard - £4.95

Standard delivery covers all orders up to a weight of 10kg. Any bulk purchases in excess of this would need to contact first for a shipping quote.

Europe

Standard - £14.95

Standard delivery covers orders for single bits and will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail. Tracking details are available on request.

Multiple bits - £24.95

This band covers up to 3 bits due to the weight restrictions with Airmail. All orders for 2 or 3 bits will be charged at this rate. If you have a larger order to place please get in touch beforehand and I can obtain an accurate quote for you.

United States

Please note due to the recent changes in import tarrifs that the US have imposed on ALL businesses sending goods to the US, it is no longer feasible for this business to ship to the US.

The customs charges took effect on 2th August 2025, details of which are below:

Suspension of De Minimis Threshold:

As of August 29, 2025, goods valued under $800 will no longer be exempt from duties, affecting smaller e-commerce businesses.

10% Baseline Tariff:

A 10% universal surcharge was implemented in April 2025, which is applied on top of the item's standard duty rate and calculated based on the total value of the shipment (including Cost, Insurance, and Freight)

Canada / South America

Standard - £19.95

Standard parcel delivery covers orders for single bits. Parcels will be sent by Royal Mail Airmail using a tracked service. Tracking details are available on request.

Multiple bits - £34.95

Rest of World

Standard - £19.95

A Confirmation E-Mail will be sent to you once we have dispatched your order. This does not mean your order is going to be delivered within the next 24 hours, but simply means it has left our shop to be en route with the courier.

We are pleased to let you know that delivery problems are very rare! However should there be a problem or delay with your order, the Second Hand Horse Bit Shop will do everything they can to resolve the issue in a speedy way. If your parcel does not arrive within a reasonable time then please get in touch ASAP either by email or phone. All parcel queries must be reported within 30 days from order date.
