The Stubben 2in1 Butterfly Double Jointed Lozenge Bit is an elevator style leverage bit and offers two impact levels in one bit by simply switching the sides of the bit.
If you buckle the more angular side of the bit towards the horse’s tongue the pressure occurs more selectively. However if you buckle the round side towards the horses tongue you will have a softer impact.
When the sign + is visible on the mounting side, the more effective side is in use. If you cannot see the + side from the mounting side the softer side is in use. By changing the buckling from time to time prevents desensitization of the horse’s mouth.
This bit features a Sweet Copper Link which provides better acceptance for your horse whilst offering a pleasant taste of the middle piece. This also encourages your horse to chew and salivate which helps the horse feel happier with the bit.
